Hiking

We like to consider ourselves a pretty adventurous and outdoorsy family and as our summer was coming to an end, we decided to do some exploring. Fresh air and new sights benefit everyone, and the kids and dogs always seem to enjoy it. We decided to try out some new areas we had never ventured to before. The first hike we went on was around "Frog Pond". It was a really beautiful hike because the trail wraps around the pond and is surrounded with lots plants. It's definitely a place we will be visiting again. The next place we tried was called Garland Ranch. It was quite a bit longer, and quite a bit more strenuous than the frog pond hike. Don map quested it, and it directed us to what we later learned was the back entrance to the trail. After almost an hour of walking straight uphill, carrying a child on each of our backs, we made it to the top. We will definitely revisit this place, but I think next time we will try the main entrance.
