After almost 3 years living in the Monterey area we must finally say goodbye. We are very excited about our new home, but there are definitely some things about Monterey that we will miss.
1. Our home. Living in a fourplex with college students was not ideal and in fact was quite trying at times. Yes, there were many college parties that kept us and our kids up several nights. Yes, we had to bring our kids in the house sometimes from the overwhelming smell of illegal substances being burned upstairs. Even so, it was still our first home together as a united family. It was the house where Caden took his first steps, and the house where Téa and Asher were conceived. It was the house that tested our marriage at times and in the end always brought us closer together as a family. For that, 3220 Gettysburg ct will always have a special place in my heart.Téa sporting one of Mommy's and one of Daddy's shoes.
Caden was sporting the other two.
Passed out in her car seat after a very long day.
Téa snuggling with Daddy.
Since our house was pretty empty for the last month up in Monterey, the kids found other ways to entertain themselves. Téa had fun putting everyone and everything "night night" in the house.Téa and big bird going "night night"

2. The people. While up in Monterey we met some of the most amazing and special people who will always be dear to us. Caden's therapists Michelle and Britt were always looking for ways to help Caden improve and helped him be the best he can be. Caden's preschool teachers Ms. Karla, Ms. Ellie, Ms. Lupe, Ms. Kelly, and Ms. Michelle made the transition into preschool such an easy one. Caden loved all of them and they were a great support to our family.
Our pediatrician Dr. Hulstedt, took a special interest in Caden and pointed us in better directions for treating his sensory issues. And of course my midwife Meredith. She was there for me in the beginning of Téa's pregnancy and throughout the entire pregnancy with Asher. Last but not least our friends. I met some of the most amazing people in Monterey: Courtney who I only knew for about 1 yr before she had to move and yet I feel like I've known her for a life time. The Kragelunds, the family I nannied for whose family grew as ours did over the last few years. And many more wonderful TJ's friends and families that we are sad to leave.
Caden and Michelle the best Physical therapist ever!
3. The aquarium. We loved the Monterey Bay aquarium. We even made one last trip there a few days before our final move. Such an amazing family friendly place.
Daddy and the kids checking out one of the large tanks.
Asher made his first trip there when he was only 8 days old.
The kids loved the play area.
My little pearl.
My treasures♥The kids checking out the new Sea turtles.
