Country Living

Living in the country has it's pros and cons. The cons list includes things like being 1/2 hour away from the nearest town, dust, dust and more dust, and of course the unexpected encounters with some of the wildlife. All in all there are many more things on pro side. We love having privacy and space. After living in a 4plex for the last 3 years we love not having neighbors above us and on all sides of us. We've also learned to appreciate the wildlife encounters. I must say we've gotten very good at catching rattlesnakes. So far this year we've had 5 successful catch and releases. We also have a million dollar view that people would kill for. Living out in the country also allows us to live a very simple life and gives us a better opportunity to instill the values in our children that we deem important without the outside influences of society. Here's a peek of some of the critters and sunsets we've been enjoying.

2 1/2 foot long rattlesnake. This cutie trapped me in the garden, lovely. It had 14 rattles which you can sort of see on the bottom left.
