It's been 5 years since our little boy was in the NICU. After spending 96 days in the hospital we grew very close to all of the doctors and nurses who took care of our 24 week preemie. They held our hands through the rough days, celebrated with us on the good days and genuinely supported us throughout the entire journey. They are what gave us hope and showed us the light at the end of the tunnel. As a result every year we make the journey back down to Santa Barbara and we celebrate at the NICU reunion. The doctors and nurses who cared for him get to see how far he has come and we once again get to tell them thank you for giving us our little boy. The reunion is held every year at the Santa Barbara Zoo. This was the first year Caden and Téa really enjoyed it. It was amazing watching their little faces light up as the recognized all of the animals they have seen in their books. The biggest hit however was getting to feed the giraffes. They still talk about that. Here are some pictures of our journey:

We are a family of five that includes Daddy(Don), Mommy(Kati), Big Brother Caden, Little Princess Téa and baby brother Asher. We love our friends and family, and of course each other.
